« Putin has no tropism for the Arab revolutions, whatever they may be. He is the enemy of the Islamists. He even made a personal matter of it (…) We do not see him dropping Bashar … »
– Le Monde (2012)
« Putin sees himself and his country, as a misunderstood victim of a pernicious Western conspiracy that seeks to destabilize the eternal Russia dear to his heart. And it is on this point that he is close to Bashar al-Assad »
– France 24 (May 2012)
The tension between Putin and the West during the last G8 (1) has finally revealed all that separated Putin from Westerners. As at the G8 as in Moscow in recent days, Russia has also set its « red lines » in Syria. « Cold and aloof with other G8 members, Putin maintained his position on the Syrian issue at the summit in Northern Ireland, » says France TV info. « Disagreement displayed on Syria among the eight richest countries. The G8 summit concluded with a joint statement in pain, Tuesday, June 18. This statement calls for an end to violence in Syria, but did not mention the fate of the Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, in whom the West and the Russian President oppose. »
The Canadian Prime Minister did not hesitate to speak of a « G7 + 1 », Vladimir Putin playing one against the other heads of state.
Alban Mikoczy, the France 2 correspondent in Moscow, makes the following analysis of the « attitude almost “casual » of Putin during the G8″: « The Russian President has the minimum service. At the summit, Putin seemed oddly relaxed. Officially, he has not heard criticism of the head of the Canadian government, who evoked a G7 +1. Officially still, he has not found so far-off the positions of the various delegations on economic issues. He even said that on Syria, the objectives are the same: the return of peace and respect for the integrity, while announcing that deliveries of Russian weapons could continue. » But, says Mikoczy, « Vladimir Putin addresses actually » a message to the international community, « he said in substance. » I will not move an inch, you can always gang up against me, you will not get anything » He thus calls for open real negotiations, but on the basis of his proposals on Syria. The first step for him is to force the rebels to lay down their arms; in a second time, he will try to convince Damascus to form a national alliance government. »
CONSTANT SUPPORT FOR BA’ATHIST SYRIA
Behind the strength of Putin on Syria at the G8, there is a constant support for Ba’athist Syria.
Already in June 2012, at the G20, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that « in Syria it is not foreigners to decide who governs » and defended the Russian policy of non-intervention in Syria. « We believe nobody has the right to decide for other countries who should be in power or not, » declared Vladimir Putin during a press conference after the G20 summit.
« This is not regime change that is important, but that after a regime change, which must be constitutional, an end is put to violence and that peace is in the country, » he added .
BAD MEMORIES OF LIBYA HAUNTED MOSCOW
Behind the Syrian case, there is obviously the bad memories of the Libyan case of 2011, in which Moscow had rolled in flour by Westerners.
The Russian president had estimated at the G20 of 2012 that all countries should sit at the negotiations table and develop a preliminary plan to allow a negotiated solution to the crisis. « Not like in some North African countries where violence continues although the regime has changed, » he said in a veiled reference to Libya, where Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s Jamahiryia fell with the Western aggression. VV Putin then spoke after a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama.
Behind the support for President Assad are the U.S. maneuvers in Eastern Europe, the « color revolutions. » And the record of aggression against the Jamahiriya of Gaddafi. « Putin is inhabited by the fear to undergo the same fate as Gaddafi any day. He will not let without reacting Bashar al-Assad be next on the list. If he lets go, it does eventually more. Who’s next? », commented Le Monde (Paris), in an analysis taken from the IFRI theses, an Atlanticist French. Think Tank.
And when he hears the powerful U.S. Senator John McCain call from Tripoli in September 2011 the Russians to « take up arms » against his regime (2) he sees rightly his fears confirmed. And when riots were organized in Russia during the legislative elections in December 2011 and the presidential election in March 2012 with Western money and its relay in Russia, with a huge NATO russophobe media campaign, Putin can not attend without reacting. In Syria in particular!
To this is added the Libyan case. Where Russia and China have been rolled in flour by the U.S. and NATO in the Security Council. Putin « is annoyed, and this is still an understatement (he personally uses a less polite language) that Dmitri Medvedev, in a moment of madness, has allowed the vote in the Security Council of the resolution authorizing the French, British and U.S. intervention in Libya, as Le Monde commented. He would never let his guard down so. Not this, not him! How naive to believe that the NATO countries, aided solely by Qatar, acted to prevent a massacre in Benghazi … »
Russia has lost a great geopolitical ally in Libya. There is only the arrogant lack of geopolitical culture of some RIA freelancers to say otherwise. Medvedev’s foreign policy in the Libyan case was an inconsistent policy that went against all the national interests of Russia. It was the opinion of the last Russian ambassador in Tripoli when he returned to Russia after leaving Libya at the end of March 2011. Gaddafi’s Jamahiriya was the bastion of Russia in the Mediterranean. Precisely with Syria. Gaddafi was extremely favorable to Russian interests. Following his trip to Russia in 2009, it was still with Vladimir Putin that he had negotiated a number of treaties. The Russians should have had a naval base in Benghazi. Adding that Russia had become the largest supplier of arms to Libya and that the Russians were favored for many oil contracts.
GENERAL GEOPOLITICAL AND IDEOLOGICAL CONTEXT IN THE SYRIAN CASE
The Syrian case is also part of a vital geopolitical context for Russia. Who must defend its strategic and economic interests. And support the Syrian Ba’athist regime, a longtime ally of Moscow, as well of the defunct USSR as of Putin’s resurgent Russia, which Damascus is the only real anchor in the Middle East .
To this also adds politico-ideological convergence. That of the long terrorist war in the Caucasus – Chechnya, Ingoustan, Dagestan – within the Russian Federation. Terrorism supported by Western intelligence services, including via the Georgian government, good little soldier of NATO. Putin « has no tropism for the Arab revolutions, whatever they may be. He is the enemy of the Islamists. He even made it a personal matter », says Le Monde. We do not see him dropping Bashar …
Finally, there is a much larger background, which blends geopolitical and collective psychology. Where resound the echoes of the American Atlanticist assault for the domination of Eurasia and those, bloody and still trembling, of the organized destruction of the USSR and the socialist Yugoslavia. The bloody fall of Gaddafi’s Jamahiriya, also socialist, has brought to the forefront these echoes and those bad memories.
In the West we are also fully aware of this dimension where Syria is only indicative, as was Libya. « The real reason for which Putin will continue to support the Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad is in fact closely related to the view that the Russian head of state has of himself: he sees himself as the guarantor of a strong Russia which refuses to accept any moral lesson of the West, analyzed a columnist of France 24. Putin is a nostalgic of the former Soviet Union, and does not hide it. For him, the fall of the USSR is the greatest tragedy of the twentieth century. The man he considers responsible for this debacle, Mikhail Gorbachev, is nothing else, according to a vision shared by many Russians, than an incapable multiplying errors. It is also not uncommon to guess in each of the initiatives taken by the Russian leader in foreign policy a sense of wounded pride. »
The analysis made in France 24 in June 2012 is relevant: « Putin sees himself and his country, as a misunderstood victim of a pernicious Western conspiracy that seeks to destabilize the eternal Russia dear to his heart. And it is on this point that is close to Bashar al-Assad.” Just what France 24, the very Atlanticist French TV, refuses to see – or admit – is that the plot is a reality. A reality organized throughout Eurasia and the Middle East, as I often analyzed.
THE WESTERN ASSAULT IN THE MIDDLE EAST IS ALSO A WAR AGAINST EURASIA!
The problem of Russia in this case is that the aggression against Damascus, and before it the coup which destabilized Libya and the Western aggression that followed and led to the fall of the Jamahiriya, take place in a series of events that actually aim to the control by the United States of Eurasia. This is the program defined by Zbigniew Brzezinski in « THE GREAT CHESSBOARD. » And I will remind, because it is something we often do not know is that at the U.S. presidential election of 2008, the senior adviser to Obama’s foreign policy was precisely Brzezinski. Therefore the political error of Medvedev in the Libyan case: go support the overthrow of the Libyan regime, behave with extreme timidity in front of the aggression against the Syrian regime, it was of course prepare the ground for future aggression against Russia itself, which is the ultimate goal for the Americans.
The wave of aggression against the Arab world, and particularly against Libya and Syria is obviously an operation of Western destabilization similar to the “color revolutions » carried out by the U.S. in Eastern Europe since 2000 and the fall of President Slobodan Milosevic.
FROM THE COLOR REVOLUTIONS TO THE SO-CALLED « ARAB SPRING »
I was the first – and the only one – at the beginning of February 2011 (3) from Tripoli (Libya) to draw the attention to the similarities between the « color revolutions » and the so-called « Arab Spring ». And before the event to announce the attack was coming against Tripoli and Damascus. Since then others have made the same analysis afterwards. But I’m the only one to have anticipated the events.
What concerned me from the beginning, it is that not only the scenario is the same as in the « color revolutions » in Eastern Europe, but also the actors are the same (4). So-called « color revolutions » are a series of coups generally organized on the occasion of elections, but also of social unrest. Behind these transactions, there is a set of organisms which are so-called « NGOs », but in fact are camouflaged U.S. government agencies, which under the guise of « promoting democracy » provide financing for oppositions in countries that Americans want to destabilize.
Behind this system, there is an international group called OTPOR (in Serbian: « resistance »). This is the first group that organized a « color revolution » with funding from the Americans. They are the ones who organized the coup against Milosevic in October 2000 (5). OTPOR was then transformed by the Americans, with huge funding, into an international movement. Which organized in Belgrade, Serbia what is called CANVAS international school. A school where one teaches to militants the destabilization of regimes. Courses are taught in Arabic since 2009 and most of the activities on Internet social networks, but also in urban riots during the so-called « revolutions » in Egypt and Tunisia, came from this group. The OTPOR group also formed and sponsored other similar groups, as was seen in Algeria, Yemen, Bahrain and also in the early days in Benghazi, Libya (6).
RESPONSE OF MOSCOW AND CSTO
In Moscow, we quickly took the accurate measurement of events. The CSTO, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, this « anti-NATO » which includes Russia, Belarus, Armenia (faced to GUAM, pro-NATO), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan has devoted its November 2011 summit to the revival of the cycle of « color revolutions » in the West, via the so-called « Arab Spring. »
« The former USSR has found a vaccine against the Arab Spring » headlined Russia Today (25 October 2011), stating that « Moscow is taking preventive measures with its neighbors. »
All this explains the Russian position in the Syrian issue. Far from the media propaganda of NATO on the « Russian arms sales to Damascus » (sic).

(2) It is no longer only to announce a « color revolution », insurrectionary events in Russia during the legislative. This is something that goes much further because there is a desire to organize an armed insurrection, as in Libya!
In September 2011, U.S. Senator McCain was in Tripoli. You must first know who is McCain. Most people in Europe present him as a « U.S. senator » or « former candidate » for president. He is indeed! But McCAIN has quite a different hat. This is actually one of the men who control precisely this group of pro-American NGOs, which depend on U.S. government agencies. this is particularly this funding that sustains associations or NGOs dependent of McCAIN and the CIA. Directly, we must see their budgets! This is McCAIN who therefore control them. McCAIN went to Tripoli to receive the report of his subordinates.
And there he called. This call is not for a « color revolution ». He called for an armed uprising in Russia! What did say McCAIN? Just what happened in Libya is an « example » and hoped that « the Russians will take the opportunity to do Moscow that the Libyans did » It is now in a process that is not only the one of the « color revolution », but is that of a call to civil war.

(4) When these events began in the Arab world, that is to say at the end of 2010, I was struck immediately, even before the appearance of the emblems of OTPOR by the similarity of the process. That is to say that what happened in Serbia in 2000, then in Belarus and Russia (where they failed), Georgia, Ukraine (where they succeeded), Kyrgyzstan (where they succeeded), then back to Belarus. I discerned this process, this modus operandi in the realization.
(5) President Milosevic ran against Kostunica, the candidate of the opposition and the West, as some fools have called the « Serbian de Gaulle » (sic). In fact, Milosevic won the elections. People of OTPOR have spread in the street, they proclaimed the victory of Kostunica, who was both the candidate of the West but also the candidate of the Serbian ultranationalists. And then followed a series of days of rioting. The so-called « peaceful revolution » since OTPOR claims hold peaceful revolutions immediately turned into riots, attacks on the occupation of the Serbian Parliament, the looting of the headquarters of our comrades of the Socialist Party of Serbia, SPS.
(6) How do we know? You must be blind not to see! Because the hallmark of OTPOR is its logo, a stylized fist reminiscent of the emblems of some fascist organizations in the 30s. The flag of OTPOR is a white fist on black background in a white circle. This is exactly the design of the flag of the SS, who had two runic S in exactly the same black circle. Our Yugoslav comrades in 2000 called the people of the OTPOR the « Madleen Jungen » in reference to Madleen ALBRIGHT who was U.S. Secretary of State at the time and who financed them. The characteristic of all groups related to Otpor is this common logo. Why do they do it? On the one hand between them to show their solidarity precisely. But also because they must justify their American master the money spent.
